1992 Kobe Bryant Signed Bala Cynwyd Middle School Yearbook (PSA/DNA & Letter of Provenance) This is a unique opportunity to peek into the life of Kobe Bryant before he became an NBA legend. This yearbook dates to Kobe’s 8th grade at the suburban Philadelphia Bala Cynwyd Middle School. The 13-year-old had just returned to the United States after eight years in Europe where his father played basketball for various Italian clubs. Leaving his friends and moving to a country completely alien to him left the young Kobe bitter and resentful. Fortunately, his year at Bala Cynwyd taught him to channel his anger into basketball. This is where Kobe’s famed “Mamba Mentality” originated. Apparently, Kobe arrived at Bala Cynwyd too late to be included in the formal class pictures, however, his outgoing personality ensured his likeness would be preserved in several places throughout this yearbook. While it is not surprising that he appears in the basketball team photo and that he is featured one of the four students honored for their athletic achievement, would you believe he is also listed among the members of the school choir? Perhaps the most poignant part of this yearbook is the message he wrote for the owner, “Blossom, You are a good dancer, and very sympathetic. Love, Kobe Bryant.” It may be opined that “Blossom” was one who helped Kobe adjust to life in a new school in a new country, and he was very appreciative for that. This may also be one of, if not the, earliest examples of Kobe Bryant’s signature. The piece shows the wear and age middle school yearbooks are customarily subjected to, with edge wear and many personal notations and markings throughout. Certainly, the earliest Kobe Bryant collectible of note and a quint look at the future superstar as a young transplant trying to find his way in a new environment. This yearbook comes with a sticker from PSA/DNA (B55800) for the signature and a letter of provenance from Trish Valerie, who was the recipient of Kobe’s signature and inscription on her yearbook.

2014-15 Kobe Bryant Game Used and Signed Los Angeles Lakers #24 Gold Home Jersey Photo Matched To 12/5/14 - 22 Pt. Game At Boston (MeiGray & Panini) Anytime the Boston Celtics meet the Los Angeles Lakers on the court you know you are in for a good game. Since the days of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson the two clubs have fought tooth and nail to prove which franchise was superior. That rivalry carried into the 21st century and the December 5, 2014 game at Boston’s TD Garden was no exception. Though the game didn’t turn out well for LA, it wasn’t for lack of effort on Kobe Bryant’s part. The Lakers superstar scored 22 points against Boston but it just wasn’t enough to change the 113-96 outcome for the Lakers. Worn during his 22-point game, Kobe’s yellow mesh jersey worn on the road has “LAKERS” across the chest and Kobe’s number “24” below in white mesh with purple stitching on yellow tackle twill. The sides have purple and white striping and the collar and arm openings are trimmed in purple. The lower left front tail has the numbered NBA label adjacent to the size 4XL Adidas label on which the date “12-5-14” has been handwritten in black marker. A 4XL4 hang tag is sewn in the collar along with a white strip tag printed with “05/14 F96233 AZB 012.” The back of the jersey features “BRYANT” above his number in purple and white tackle twill with his number “24” sewn on below in white mesh with purple stitching on yellow tackle twill. The Lakers legend has completed this photo matched gamer with a bold signature on the front in black marker with the inscription, “12-5-14 vs Celtics 22 Pts.” This jersey comes with a COA from Panini for the signature and a LOA from the MeiGray Group (LLA02786) for the game use and photo matching.
