Exquisite private showcase of Lombard painting

With locations in Milan, Turin, Naples and Vicenza, the Gallerie d’Italia forms a network of cultural and museum hubs belonging to Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy’s largest bank. Opened in 2011, Gallerie d’Italia Milan comprises three historic palazzi in Piazza della Scala, including former banking institutions, which have now been converted into exhibition venues where the Intesa Sanpaolo art collections can be shared with the public. The museum primarily displays 19th- and 20th-century works of art, with highlights by Umberto Boccioni, Antonio Canova, Francesco Hayez, Lucio Fontana and Alberto Burri.
