The subject of the 2001 Academy Award-winning film, 'A Beautiful Mind,' John F. Nash Jr.’s story of overcoming mental illness and becoming a mathematical icon continues to inspire.  On 17 October in New York, Sotheby’s will offer Nash’s 1994 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, which was awarded to him for the work he did more than four decades earlier as a Princeton University graduate student.
