Monet’s ‘Les Peupliers à Giverny’

New York | February 2015

Painted at the peak of his Impressionist style, Claude Monet’s ‘Les Peupliers à Giverny’ depicts the poplar trees in Giverny in a spontaneous, poetic manner. Sotheby's Philip Hook and Ann Dumas, Curator at the Royal Academy of Arts, introduce this masterwork which will be offered in our London Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale on 3 February 2015 and which comes directly from the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
