On 17 October, Sotheby’s Los Angeles kicked off the auction season with a cocktail reception and private preview of highlights from Sotheby’s autumn 2017 sales. Sotheby’s Chairman of the Americas Andrea Fiuczynski, Lisa Dennison and Benjamin Doller welcomed guests to the expansive exhibition of masterworks from upcoming Contemporary, Impressionist & Modern, American, African and Oceanic, and 20th Century Design auctions. Works ranged from Roy Lichtenstein’s Surrealist Female Head to Kota reliquary figures from Central Africa. Following the reception, guests dined at stylish nearby restaurant Craft.
