Founded in 1904, it is one of the oldest Jewish museums in the world and houses the largest collection of Jewish art, artifacts and ceremonial objects outside of Israel.

The museum’s impressive modern art collection includes Man Ray’s Self-Portrait with Camera (1930), Marc Chagall’s Old Man with Beard (c.1931) and Andy Warhol’s Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century (1980).
