About the Museum
The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria is a 14-acre site on the shores of Lake Austin that provides an exceptional natural landscape for contemporary installation and sculpture. The estate comprises the Mediterranean-style Driscoll Villa built in 1916, an Art School, which provides classes for all ages, the Gatehouse Gallery and the Betty and Edward Marcus Sculpture Park. Alongside temporary exhibitions, permanent works by artists including Anya Gallaccio, Paul McCarthy and Ai Weiwei are dotted around the grounds.
