About the Museum
The Box Gallery, located in West Palm Beach, is a 4,000 square foot multimedia exhibition space that hosts exhibitions, projections, performance art, and installation art for the art community and art patrons. It is the third Palm Beach County gallery and studio to be opened by Cuban-American artist Rolando Chang Barrero, who wanted to offer a large installation space for works that would otherwise have to travel south to Miami to find a home. The Gallery frequently spotlights LGBT artists and, in Barrero’s words, privileges work that “is extremely marginal and at times risqué.”
