About the Museum

The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art occupies two buildings in Edinburgh. Modern One features an impressive landscaped lawn by Charles Jencks and a sculpture garden. Modern Two is home to the Paolozzi Studio, a recreation of the Scottish sculptor’s workshop that includes hundreds of plaster casts and curiosities. Both museums boast extensive permanent collections and hold major temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art.
