Purvis Young is a large-scale exhibition, encompassing the foundation's entire first floor, featuring over 100 paintings from this artist who spent the entirety of his life (1943—2010) working in Miami. Numerous universal themes within his paintings will be highlighted and presented in depth. A comprehensive catalog with an interview by Hans Ulrich Obrist and writings by Rashid Johnson, Gean Moreno, Franklin Sirmans, César Trasobares, and Barbara N. Young, will accompany the exhibition.
