About the Museum
Founded in 1887, the National Museum of Singapore (NMS) is the island state’s oldest museum. It features Singapore History and Living Galleries, which adopt cutting-edge and multifaceted ways of presenting history and culture in order to redefine the conventional museum experience. The NMS is also custodian to ten National Treasures. In addition to presenting thought-provoking exhibitions involving critically important collections of artefacts, this cultural landmark also plays host to the city’s vibrant festivals, performances and film screenings.
