About the Museum
Established in 2007, Museum of Siam was created to explore the national identity and history of the people of Thailand, as well as their relationships with neighboring cultures. It is housed in the former Ministry of Commerce building. The museum’s interactive exhibits show the development of the country of Thailand from the ancient past to present day.
The museum’s exhibits follow a variety of themes including Typically Thai, Village Life, Politics and Communications, Thailand and the World, Thailand Tomorrow, and Buddhism, among others. The museum is also home to a theater with a large panoramic screen that shows films about Thailand’s history. The museum offers a number of educational programs, a restaurant, and a museum shop.
