About the Museum

The National Museum of Natural Sciences (Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales) is one of the most important scientific research institutes in the country in the field of natural sciences. With a staff of more than 70 researchers in areas ranging from paleobiology and geology to ecology and climate change through environmental biology and biodiversity, the Museum is one of the emblematic centers of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). The challenge today is to transmit the knowledge that the researchers generate to society and for this it has highly qualified professionals dedicated both to the scientific collections that houses the Museum and to the exhibitions that allow to explain scientific discoveries to the public.
