About the Museum
The Musee de Vieux Montpellier highlights the history of the city of Montpellier, France. It displays exhibits that date from the Middle Ages through the 20th century, and its permanent collection is comprised of engravings, portraits of eminent persons, and decorative art and religious objects. Highlights include a Virgin reliquary from Notre-Dame-des-Tables, penitents' sticks and documents from the time of the Revolution. It is located in Petrarch Square in an apartment of an hôtels particuliers, or a historic mansion.
