Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain, Genève (MAMCO)

Geneva | Switzerland

Switzerland’s premier destination for art of our time

Located in the heart of Geneva, the Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporaine (MAMCO) is Switzerland’s largest and newest museum dedicated to contemporary art. Housed in a repurposed industrial factory, this dynamic venue features a collection of 3,000 artworks from the second half of the 20th century, showcasing artists such as Martin Kippenberger, Christo, Gordon Matta-Clark, Robert Filliou, Maurizio Nannucci, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, Elaine Sturtevant and Wade Guyton. Three times a year, the museum’s interior is completely reimagined along with its exhibitions, which are renowned for their compelling presentations and retrospectives of international contemporary art. The building also houses contemporary art and photography centers, each with their own exhibition programs. The museum is currently closed for building renovations through 2028, but plans to stage programs and showcase its collection in collaboration with partners during the interim.
