About the Museum

The Meow Wolf Art Complex in Santa Fe is home to the House of Eternal Return (HOER), an immersive, 20,000 square foot permanent art installation that combines exploration, discovery, and interactivity. Dozens of rooms, secret passages, and interactive light and musical objects prod visitors to investigate the mystery of the fictitious Selig family’s disappearance. Visitors can walk, climb, and crawl through a multitude of environments, including the family’s Victorian mansion, and accompany the mystery through an app. HOER also features a music venue, cafe/bar, and children’s learning center.

HOER is the first permanent art installation of Meow Wolf, a Santa Fe-based arts and entertainment group that was founded in 2008 and “champions otherness, weirdness, challenging norms, radical inclusion, and the power of creativity to change the world.” The Meow Wolf Art Complex, located in a former bowling alley, also hosts art education programs for community members of all ages. In the next few years, Meow Wolf plans to open branches in Las Vegas and Denver.
