About the Museum
The KBach Gallery is an art gallery that promotes the Cambodian urban/street art scene and its artists. In Khmer, “kbach” refers to both the ornamentation that adorns doorways and temples and to movements endowed with spiritual power. Kbach street art fuses Cambodian elements with modern styles.
The KBach Gallery was opened in 2017 by Tony Francis, a London native who was inspired by Cambodia’s burgeoning urban and street art scene when he moved to Siem Riep. The Gallery organizes a number of exhibits and competitions that highlight local and international artists and provides studio space in the Cambodian capital. It also collaborates with local schools and organizations to refresh blank walls, providing street artists with a legal canvas.
