Championing artists that foster the global exchange of art and ideas
In its first decade, from 2014 to 2024, ICA Miami staged 20 institutional debut exhibitions. This focus on supporting new talent runs alongside a global outlook and commitment to accessibility. ICA Miami was established after a split from the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA). In 2017 its permanent home in the Design District opened, featuring more than 20,000 sq ft of exhibition galleries and a public sculpture garden. The museum’s collection of contemporary art has grown steadily with an emphasis on the work of emerging and mid-career artists. It often commissions site-specific installations for its galleries and sculpture garden. The museum’s outreach programs and its policy of free admission helps to engage the public with the latest developments in contemporary art.
