Hangaram Art Museum

The Hangaram Art Museum is a museum of modern art located in the multi-complex Seoul Arts Center. The three-story museum, opened in 1990, offers six exhibition halls that are designed for the display of large-scale artworks and art installations. The first floor of the museum houses the Hangaram Design Museum, Korea’s first design museum and a space that hosts exhibitions on various design cultures in and outside of Korea, under the motto of seeking “Korean design identity.” The Hangaram offers a variety of hands-on educational programs for adults and children on oil, watercolor, ink painting, and textiles; in addition, the museum boasts two cafés as well as a reading room and audiovisual material room that are open to the public.
