About the Museum

Escher in The Palace is a museum in The Hague, Netherlands, featuring the world renowned Dutch artists, M.C. Escher. M.C. Escher was a graphic artists, who lived between 1898 and 1972. He was a master in creating impossible situations and optical illusions in woodcuts and lithographs.

Since it was opened in 2002 the collection has been housed in the Lange Voorhout Palace. Nearly all of his prints are exhibited, including biographical material like photographs, letters, and preliminary sketches. Showcasing over 150 works you can see all of his highlights.
