An enchanting contemporary art museum in the historic heart of Provence

The Collection Lambert in Avignon is a contemporary art museum housed inside a pair of magnificent 18th-century mansions. Begun in 2000 and formally established in 2012, the Collection Lambert began when gallerist and art collector Yvon Lambert donated an exceptional collection of over 500 major works from the second half of the 20th century and the early 21st to the French State. The museum presents permanent collection exhibitions in the Hôtel de Caumont, alongside biannual temporary exhibitions held in the Hôtel de Montfaucon.
