A 600-acre sculpture park set among vineyards
Château La Coste is a working vineyard and international cultural destination established by the Irish art collector Patrick McKillen in the early 2000s. Based around a manor and outbuildings dating from 1682, the site features new structures and installations created by leading artists and architects including Alexander Calder, Tadao Ando, Richard Serra and Louise Bourgeois. There is an open-air music pavilion designed by Frank Gehry, wineries by Jean Nouvel and an auditorium and gallery by Oscar Niemeyer. Visitors can walk freely through the estate, encountering a growing collection of contemporary works that interact with the land. Fine dining is offered at a series of restaurants.
