An interdisciplinary platform for art and exchange
Located in the heart of Hamburg next to the city hall, the Bucerius Kunst Forum is an exhibition space founded by the charitable foundation Zeit-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius. It organizes approximately four exhibitions each year, presenting world-class works of art from antiquity to the present day, and conducts programs that intersect with music, literature, theater, and philosophy, inviting dialogue across various cultural forms. Its exhibitions are often monographic in nature, focusing on modernist artists, and are made possible through extensive international loans. Joint collaborations with other museums have also facilitated exhibitions, including the 2015 show “Miró. Painting as Poetry,” organized with the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, and the 2006 exhibition “Rodin in Germany” with the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden.
