Beit al Quran

Beit al Quran (House of Quran) is a multi-purpose complex dedicated to the Islamic arts. Founded in 1990, the complex houses one of the most renowned Islamic museums in the world that consists of ten exhibition halls. The building is engraved with Arabic script, and the museum showcases a fascinating collection of Quranic manuscripts as well as a library of over 50,000 books written in Arabic, English, and French that center primarily on Islam. Manuscripts dating back to the 7^th century as well as Qurans written on parchment, grains, peas, and rice are among the impressive objects in the collection. The building also houses a mosque, a library, an auditorium, a madrasa (religious school), and hosts a variety of art exhibitions.
