About the Museum
Beirut Art Center is relocating and will reopen in Spring 2019.
Founded in 2009, the Beirut Art Center is a contemporary art space dedicated to experimental art in Lebanon. The aim of the center is to produce, present and contextualize local and international art and cultural practices in a way that is free and accessible to the public. The center is the first public space for exhibiting contemporary art in Beirut, and it aims to support local and regional contemporary artists as well as international artists. In addition to exhibition space, BAC houses an auditorium, meeting spaces, a large collection of artist films, and a book shop. BAC hosts numerous educational activities including lectures, concerts, performances, and film screenings.
