Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall

Founded in 2004, the Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall is an urban planning museum near Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The museum explores the history, present, and future of urban planning in Beijing. The museum has four stories of exhibition and programming space. Exhibits cover the transition through history of this ancient city, the planning of Olympic stadiums, and the future blueprint of a ‘green’ Beijing with transportation and infrastructure modernization. The museum is home to a 3,200-square-foot scale model of the entire Beijing metropolitan area and a theater that shows short educational films. The collection also holds artifacts, maps, and documents that explore the history of urban planning in China.
