About the Museum
A world-class arts and learning centre, the Barbican pushes the boundaries of all major art forms including dance, film, music, theatre and visual arts. The visual arts programme embraces art, architecture, design, fashion, photography and film, and many Barbican exhibitions explore the interconnections between disciplines, periods and cultures, and aim to imagine the world in new ways. The centre is home to two art galleries, two theatres, three cinemas, a concert hall, a tropical conservatory, three restaurants, and an assortment of bars and cafes, all unfolding across a large campus showcasing some of Britain's best Brutalist architecture. From symphonies to screenings to exhibitions, the Barbican offers world-class cultural experiences in all mediums.
