Ancient City

Located just outside of Bangkok and covering 320 acres of land, Ancient City is one of the world’s largest outdoor museums. The museum is dedicated to preserving Thai cultural heritage by reproducing important buildings from throughout Thailand. Over 100 buildings have been collected or reproduced, many of which represent religious and royal sites throughout Thailand. The reproductions provide examples of many different eras of Thai architecture. The grounds of the Ancient City form the shape of Thailand, and each building is placed on their original geographic location. While some of the structures are life-size replicas of the original, others are smaller in scale.
