s we celebrate more than 60 years of Art Ball and 25 years of TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art, the Dallas Museum of Art looks ahead with a bold new vision: The Collection Gala.
As North Texas’s only encyclopedic art museum, the DMA is a vital cultural hub that connects people of all ages through art. Funds raised through The Collection Gala will help the museum fulfill its mission, expanding meaningful access to remarkable works of art by presenting extraordinary exhibitions, providing innovative educational and public programs, and stewarding a collection of more than 26,000 objects.
The Collection Gala Auction features an exceptional selection of works generously donated by leading contemporary artists and galleries from around the world, reflecting both emerging voices and established names. In this inaugural year, we are honored to recognize DMA collection artist Emmi Whitehorse as the featured artist of The Collection Gala.
The Collection Gala will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Dallas Museum of Art. This philanthropic event is made possible by the remarkable support of participating artists, galleries, sponsors, and patrons.
All auction lots will be available to browse online via Sotheby’s once the auction platform is live. In addition, the works will be on public view at the Dallas Museum of Art from Wednesday, October 1, through Sunday, October 19, allowing guests and visitors to experience the art in person.
