The Prince of Wales Loop and Button: a diamond rivière and cluster brooch, 18th century

The rivière comprised of 41 graduated cushion-shaped stones, on a single stone clasp, the brooch designed as one large cushion-shaped stone mounted at the centre in a closed setting within a border of 9 similarly shaped stones, pinched collet setting mounted on silver and gold, the brooch in foiled closed-back settings, with a later brooch fitting length of rivière approximately 421mm, diameter of brooch approximately 32mm.
