French photographer Antoine Schneck present a selection of 25 photographs from the book 100 ateliers d'artistes d'aujourd'hui, published by Éditions Courtes et Longues.
The book brings together 100 “multiple portraits” of French and international artists living in France, accompanied by texts by Guy Boyer, editor-in-chief of Connaissance des Arts.
Over seven years, Schneck and his assistant Hugues Hervé traveled across France, from Montreuil to Nice, to capture the state of contemporary creation and preserve the memory of the studios — both workplaces and living spaces — where artists shape their worlds. Thanks to the support and collaboration of Connaissance des Arts, they met both established figures such as Pierre Soulages, Marinette Cueco and Julio Le Parc, as well as emerging talents like Marine Wallon, Sepand Danesh and Ymane Chabi-Gara.
Antoine Schneck is represented by Galerie Berthet-Aittouares.
