Description
This beautiful Datejust from 1983 is a true time capsule. The yellow gold on the case and bracelet has patinated with age. This perfectly aligns with the story the dial tells - perfectly aged lume plots with some signs of deterioration around the hour markers - likely from exposure to a humid environment. Further, the original Hong Kong case back sticker remains indicating this watch was originally sold there, perfectly tying the bow on this Datejust's past life. It is finds like these that true collectors cherish.
Condition Report
Very GoodCase is in excellent condition with some light signs of wear, commensurate with age, and seemingly unpolished. The original case back sticker remains. A small nick to the left side of the case.
Bracelet with some light stretch and light surface scratches throughout. Signs of patina to the yellow gold on the bracelet.
Dial is in overall excellent condition. The luminous plots remain intact and have aged evenly. The hands have aged to the same color and are in very good condition. There are light signs of age to the dial near the luminous markers.
Movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
