Description
One of the most recognizable luxury dress watches ever to be created, very few timepieces come close to the legendary status of the Rolex Datejust. Due to the watches very long production run, it was bound to have multiple variations. The present watch offered here today boasts a stainless steel Oyster case and bracelet as well as a blue Buckley dial.
Condition Report
Watch is in very good overall condition with a strong case.
Numbers are visible between the lugs.
Dial and hands are in excellent condition with the lume having aged to a warm yellow color. The plot at 8 o'clock is slightly deteriorated and there is what appears to be a small hole in the lume of the hour hand that is hardly noticeable.
Bracelet and clasp are in good condition with minimal signs of wear, light stretch, and have been lightly polished.
Movement is running at time of cataloguing; however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
The watch was serviced by Rolex in 2019.
