Description
As one of the most recognizable watches produced by Rolex, the Day-Date is often thought of in its original yellow gold form with president bracelet. This is not that watch.
Still in the traditional 36mm case, this Day-Date is a modern take on the classic. Cased in 18k white gold and on an 18k white gold bracelet, reference 118209 "Blue Waves" is fun and more closely resembles a sports watch than a dress watch. The dial is what characterizes the watch with horizontal undulating waves of darker blue set on a lighter blue background. Radial Arabic numerals surround the dial.
In a market that puts a hefty premium on steels sports watches, this is a great chance to get a solid gold watch that closely resembles the sports watches that are so popular currently at a similar price.
