This Horological Machine No. 5 is crafted from CarbonMacrolon, a fancy polycarbonate material created by mixing a black Makrolon polycarbonate with carbon nanotubes. The result is an extremely dense and durable polycarbonate that is as strong as steel and can be polished like steel. The lever along the side of the case opens and closes the louvers, allowing light — and water — to enter and illuminate the jumping hour and minute discs.
The watch is in overall very good condition with minor wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in overall very good condition with light surface wear. Rubber strap has light signs of surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Dial is in overall very good condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
