A. Lange & Söhne 1815 "Sachsen" small seconds 18kt rose gold "Blue Hands" edition, with gorgeous matte silver Argenté dial and black painted Arabic numeral hour markers.
This 18kt rose gold A. Lange & Söhne 1815 small seconds manual wind, 206.032, has a leather strap and a matching 18kt rose gold tongue buckle. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, flat, angled bezel, case, downturned lugs and winding crown are all polished. The dial is solid silver with blued steel hands. There is an outside rail minute track, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a sapphire exhibition case back that's secured by six screws. There is a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock, it's water-resistant to 30 meters/100 feet and it has a 55-hour power reserve at full wind. The 7.5mm thick case, dial and movement are all signed.
The manual winding A. Lange and Söhne caliber L 941.1 movement is rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a shock-absorber mechanism and several gold chatons. It has a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to five positions and a self-compensating flat balance spring. It includes a swan neck micrometer regulator and a hand-engraved balance bridge. It oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph. (3 Hz).
The watch is in excellent condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Fits a wrist size of 7 inches or smaller.
