Description
Known to be the world’s first luxury sports watch. The Audemars Pigueut Royal Oak's introduction, peaked popularity of luxury sports watches. Inspired by a diving hemlet Gerald Genta believed that if screws around the glass of a diving helmet could resist the water from high pressure, so could a watch. From 1971 to date the Royal Oak's very long production run, it was bound to have multiple variations. The Royal Oak presented today is complimented with round brilliant diamonds and a blue Clouse de Paris dial.
