NIKE

This original 1981 model features an unusual combination of both spikes and waffle soles, in a rare bright green color. Most waffle soles are black. The iconic Waffle was named for the patented waffle iron-like pattern of the rubber outsole which Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman developed after being inspired by his wife’s waffle iron. Nylon used for the upper created light-weight durability.
