Gary ‘The Glove’ Payton is widely considered to be one of the best point guards of all-time. The Hall of Famer ended his 17 year career as a 9 time NBA All-Star and 9 time All-Defensive First Team member. Payton’s signature shoe, the Air Zoom Flight, is nicknamed ‘The Glove’ after the infamous moniker he received for his incredible defensive skills. The style was originally released in 1998 and engineered for maximum response and mobility. Its unique design features an external zip up shroud, concealing an inner mesh upper with monkey paw motif.

These promo samples were worn by Payton in 2006, his Championship year with the Miami Heat, alongside Shaquille O’Neal and Dwayne Wade.
