Description

Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) was a ‘sneakerhead’ long before the term became mainstream. He started collecting sneakers in 1990 and amassed close to 900 pairs before his passing in 2009. His sister auctioned off each pair, one at a time. He was known for both his DJ skills and premier sneaker collection.

The Nike “Air Jordan” is one of the most iconic designs in the history of both streetwear and basketball. Designed by Peter Moore, Michael Jordan wore Air Jordan 1 in 1984 and 1985, as well as modified versions in 1986 (after a broken foot Michael endured).  After 1986 production stopped, and it wasn’t until 1994 that Nike released the first Retro.

These specific shoes are the first Retro Air Jordan 1 from 1994 in the iconic ‘Chicago’ colorway, perhaps the most recognizable for Michael, as well as the Nike brand.
