Danish Modern hand-hammered sterling silver sauce bowl on stand.

• Made by Carl Poul Petersen in Canada.
• Tapering ovoid bowl with flared ends and scalloped rim.
• Stylized leaf between buds applied to sides.
• Concave ovoid leaf between two buds applied to sides.
• Round and integral stand with turned up rim.
• Petersen was a Danish-born silversmith who was Georg Jensen’s apprentice and son-in-law. The couple emigrated to Canada in 1929, where he worked independently and for Birks.
• Fully marked including maker’s stamp and phrase “Hand Made.”
