Description

A Korean jewelry box from the later Joseon period.

  • Handmade of paulownia wood with yellow brass decorative hinges and motifs.
  • The top is adorned with the symbol for happiness surrounded by an auspicious fungus roundel.
  • The front is adorned with a cloud-form plate beneath the clasp.
  • Interior lined with paper and a removable tray.
