Dr. Najat Al Makki (b. 1956) is a pioneering Emirati artist based in Dubai, best known for her curiosity around colour and dreamlike, abstracted depictions of the natural landscape in the UAE. One of the most prominent figures in the history of Emirati art, her new works blend fluorescent colours and abstract compositions, transforming the Gulf’s landscapes into dreamlike evocations of time, place, and emotion.
