The Tudor 7016 Submariner was released in 1969 as the successor to the 7928. The 7016 saw several upgrades aesthetically and in performance. Tudor powered the 7016 with an ETA movement, adopting cal. 2483 with 25 jewels instead of cal. 390 with 17 jewels in the prior model 7928. Subsequently, the dial was changed to the classic “Snowflake” design with square markers and square hands.
The watch is in overall fair condition with moderate wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear. Bracelet has moderate signs of stretch and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle shows signs of scratches. Dial has aged with bubbles throughout the surface. Bezel color has matured to the desired ghost model. Case back has visible signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
