Description
Rolex produced the Submariner ref. 5513 between 1962 and 1989, alongside its sister ref. 5512 (1959-1978). Their new case design introduced the modern looks the legendary watch would keep for generations to come. The 5513 differs from the 5512 in non-chronometer certified caliber, illustrated by the two lines of text on the dial. The 5513 was produced until 1989, making it one of the longest-lasting references in the Submariner family. Its design remained quite unchanged over 27 years. However collectors can differentiate the early gloss dials from the subsequent matte dials and finally the gold-circled index dials.

Bracelet has moderate signs of stretch and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has signs of scratches. Dial is in overall good condition. Crystal has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
