Richard Mille faced the challenge of maintaining the strength and unique character of his models while expanding his design options. The RM016 was a game-changer in 2007 as Richard Mille ventured into two uncharted territories. Firstly, the rectangular shape of the watch was a departure from the brand's signature tonneau-shaped cases. Secondly, the ultra-thin movement marked the founding pillars of a more sophisticated and refined aesthetic, which can be seen in current references such as the RM067-01 and RM067-02. Available in excellent condition, the watch not only has a great wrist presence, it also established the foundation for further avant-garde case designs in Richard Mille.
The watch is in overall very good condition with light wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in overall very good condition with minor surface wear. Bracelet has minor signs of stretch and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Dial is in overall very good condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
