Description
Piaget in the 1970s really embodied a daring spirit in watchmaking. Their mastery of ultra-thin movements, especially the Calibre 9P, which was only 2 mm thick, set them apart from most other maisons of the time. That movement allowed them to experiment with elegant, slim pocket watches and wristwatches that were both technically impressive and aesthetically radical.
Condition Report
The watch is in good overall condition considering its age, the mother-of-pearl dial is nice and intact without any cracks. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
