Description
Georges-Édouard Piaget felt a passion for watchmaking from a young age; in 1874 at only 19, he set up his first workshop on the family farm. Here, he dedicated himself to creating high-precision movements and components. In 1959, the first "Salon Piaget" was launched in Geneva. It was created to be a welcoming place where Piaget could share its creativity and savoir-faire by showing the first of Piaget's luxury jewelry creations alongside refined timepieces. Geneva also became home to Piaget's ateliers that specialized in goldsmithing and gem-setting, meaning the Maison could master every aspect of the production of fine pieces.
This vintage reference 81413 is a yellow gold quartz wristwatch, circa 1990, with pavé-set diamond dial, quartz movement. Case in 18K yellow gold, ruby and diamond-set, case back secured by 4 screws. 18K yellow gold Piaget bracelet and clasp with baguette-cut ruby and diamond-set. Case size in diameter 25 mm x 22 mm.
Condition Report
GoodThe watch is in overall good condition. All diamonds and ruby are intact. Case is in good condition with minor surface wear. Bracelet has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle is in good condition. Dial is in overall good condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time. The battery may need replacing at the buyer's discretion.
