Description
At first glance, what may seem to be a beautiful annual calendar wristwatch reveals much more when examined up close. Made in a very limited run of just 300 pieces, this Patek Philippe belongs to the second series of 'Advanced Research' models which used experimental silicon components, such as the Spiromax hairspring and balance, giving the watch much better anti-magnetic capabilities. These new technologies are made highly visible by the extremely unconventional cyclops window on the backside sapphire crystal.
Condition Report
Very GoodThe watch is in very good overall condition with very light signs of surface wear. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Please be advised that bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) cannot be shipped outside the country of sale. If these watches are purchased outside of Hong Kong, we will replace with calf leather bands prior to shipping.
