Description
The history of Rolex is tied to the history of watchmaking in the 1900s, and is synonymous with luxury watches among all the other brands. Originally founded in 1905 and first known as "Wilsdorf and Davis" until 1908, the name "Rolex" was born as the manufacturer saw their potential in developing their own brand. The manufacturer wanted a short name that would be easy to remember and say in any language.
